A 12-year-old child in the Strand in Cape Town has died.
Police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel André Trott confirmed the incident Saturday.
"The office confirms the death of a 12-year-old man who drowned in a dam at Zarell's Street Strand in Strand. [on Friday] At noon about 16:10.
"The docket was registered in the case of death row," said Tortatin in a short statement.
The opposite of the Hireskal Strand is located in the Park Park.
NSRG Gordon's Bay duty duty, SV Police Service, G Med Security Ambulance Service, AR 24 Ambulance Service, Cape Town Fire and Rescue Service, Fire and Rescue Services Diving Unit, Law Enforcement Marine Unit Drowning Unit and Western Cape Power responded to the Health EMS rescue squad.
Including independent search efforts, a child's body was found and drowned out of the water.
The child's body was brought to the forefront of forensic pathology services.
