Ebola virus continues to spread in the Congo – neighboring countries are being made

As reported by the World Health Organization (WHO), the deadly Ebola virus can be detected within a week in 32 new Congo patients. The neighboring countries of the Central African states are worried. Congo has 180 dead

Between early August and late October, according to the Congolese Ministry of Health, 250 people were probably infected with the virus, and another 35 patients were probably infected with the Ebola virus. 81 infected patients have survived the infection, 180 died. In the Congo, more than 25,000 people have already received the promising pilot vaccine including patient relatives, contacts and healthcare professionals. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 25 people have been infected, have been cared for, and three have died, the WHO said.

In mid-October, experts from the World Health Organization discussed whether they declared the International Health Emergency due to the Ebola epidemic in Congo, but they have decided against it. It was optimistic that this outbreak could be under control in the near future, he said at that time.

Ebola virus is one of the most dangerous pathogens in the world. In an outbreak in 2014/15, more than 11,000 people died in West Africa. Infected patients may pass the virus through body fluids, for example sweating, blood or vomiting. Meanwhile, besides the vaccine, there are experimental drugs that are used in a recent outbreak.
