If you have type 1 diabetes, then you should check blood sugar levels and inject insulin into your inject life.

In Germany, doctors treat approximately six million "diabetes" – but only 5 percent of them are type 1 diabetes. This corresponds to the frequency of 18 of the 100,000 people. While Type 2 diabetes mellitus is related to the affinity syndrome, type 1 diabetes is more like a stroke of fate. Autistic disease can break at any age: it often occurs in children and adolescents, but each other is more than 30.

Vicky L., 21, is athletic and adventurous – but he suffers from hypoglycemia and asthma. She must use fast and slow carbohydrates targeted.

The reason is an automated process

10% of the affected type 1 diabetes are close relatives – so Jeans plays the role. But environmental factors can lead to the current state of knowledge that the body destroys insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. Generally, the immune system produces antibodies against harmful foreign substances. In type 1 diabetes, these antibodies attack the pancreatic italic cells by mistake. As a result, they lose their ability to produce insulin. Experts believe that in Germany, 10% of diabetes is actually 1 diabetes. In it, antibodies were not determined.

What Happens With Type 1 Diabetes?

Vitamin D deficiency and frequent respiratory tract in childhood are thought to be co-inspiration. It is striking that type 1 diabetes is more common than other automated diseases, such as Hashimoto's Thyroidis, Gluten Intolerance (Celac Disease) or Gastritis (Type A Gastritis).

Symptoms: Inactivity, frequent urine

Persistent thirst and frequent urine, even at night, is one of the first signs of diabetes. Because sugar that can not be absorbed for a long time, it is eventually extracted by the kidneys and tied to water. Many victims also feel pale and powerless because the food taken in food does not reach the energy muscle and brain cells.

The body shares carbohydrates from food to sugar. Insulin helps in injecting sugar in the cells. If this does not work anymore, the level of sugar in the blood increases.

Due to high blood sugar levels, many diabetes reduces small and the later large blood vessels. This comes with nerve damage (poliaropathy) or retina diseases. Strong blood sugar fluctuation leads to serious consequences in the long run: for example, frequent infections or poor wound healing, especially in lower areas. This "diabetes foot" is a terrible aftershock with long period of swelling therapy.

Other possible symptoms of type 1 diabetes

  • Development disorder, baddiving, weight loss (in children)
  • Fatigue, weakness, dizziness
  • Change vision, change sight
  • Dry skin, scratching
  • Alternative damage to hunger and starvation attacks
  • Erectile dysfunction / libido damage
  • Muscle cramps
  • Wound healing badly
  • Nausea, abdominal pain
  • Kidney failure, kidney failure
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Menstruation, decreased fertility in women
  • Psychological changes like aggressive behavior

Diagnosis by determining many blood sugar values

The doctor determines blood sugar value. Fasting distinguishes between blood sugar and occasional blood sugar. The normal fasting blood sugar rate is 100 milligrams in the daily. Diabetes mellitus is suspected by fasting at high levels of blood glucose. In addition, the glucose tolerance test is conducted and determines the so-called long-term blood sugar: Glycohyoglobin in the blood provides information about the concentration of blood sugar over the last six to eight weeks.

If a doctor detects diabetes mellitus, it checks funding, urine, blood pressure, nerves and legs. It also determines blood lipid and kidney levels.

Therapy: Eat, measure and inject the right thing

Type 1 diabetes needs to inject insulin for life. A different type of intense and conventional insulin therapy differs. Acute therapy is critical and is associated with personal responsibility. The advantage is that the patient can decide the time and quantity of their meals. Especially irregular everyday people get the benefit from them. In conventional insulin therapy, one person injected twice a day and ate at certain times – daily routine is based on these remedies.

The History of Artificial Insulin

At the beginning of the 1st century, the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes was equivalent to the death penalty. Patients died within a short time without being able to help. Age expectancy of Type 2 diabetes was also very low, mainly due to the serious sequence of high blood sugar levels. Researchers promised to insulin's first successful segregation by Canadian scientific Frederick Grant Banting and his assistant Charles Best in 1921. In 1923, Bennington and his companion John McLeod, who were important in the study of insulin, received the Nobel Prize for Medicine for their achievements. Earlier, patients received insulin produced from pancreatic pancakes. Today, genetically engineered human insulin is usually managed.

Be careful with carbohydrates

It is important in both cases to evaluate the energy value of food. And the strategy is to reduce carbohydrates – if they are, they usually come with a fiber on the table, because then they absorb more slowly in the blood. This prevents high blood sugar levels. So place lots of vegetables and whole grain bread in place of white flour and sugar. Studies have shown that when carbohydrate meal is eaten with protein, (or better) blood sugar becomes much slower before.

For breakfast, for example, a part of the clotted egg or ottalm is recommended, because oats contain Beta Glucon: a dietary fiber that helps reduce blood glucose levels.

Hidden carbohydrates in prepared meals and drinks

It is important to know: Fast food and finished products often contain carbohydrates, as well as unhealthy fats. These recipes are served once a week. Because fat metabolism is also combined, then it is risky to the heart. In the evening the regular glass of wine or beer is the same: Alcohol is a caloric trap and burns fat. The movement helps to hold blood sugar.

The success of therapy is determined by long-term blood sugar. Check-ups are performed by family doctor or diabetes ambulance. Successful therapy with well-arranged blood sugar levels can relieve the symptoms and thus improve the quality of the affected people. The result and thus often life expectancy is prevented or at least delayed. Children and adolescents develop normal physical, mental and emotional development.
