Moscow (Sputnik) – According to a draft decision on the Moon Research Program, Russia is planning to start and launch a full-scale base on the Moon's surface between 2036 and 2040.
On Wednesday, the draft document obtained by Sputnik was adopted in a joint meeting of Roskosmos and Academy of Sciences officials.
"2036-2040: The launch of full-scale moon support, distribution of large-size cargo and carrying out various scientific experiments on moon testing sites," the document says.

Roskosmos' head, Dmitry Rogoz, said earlier that it would take about three months to develop the Chandra Research program. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the government will be presented for consideration.
