More than 24 hours after a call about the vehicle passed by the snow to the Ontario provincial police divers, a man's body was found in the Mississippi lake.
Police said in a news release that it is a community in the area that is a drummed North African township, a 31-year-old man.
His name was not disclosed.
On Sunday, about 3:45 pm Oppy responded to a report that the vehicle crashed from snow on the Mississippi lake just south of Ontario's Cretan Place, Ontario.
When officials arrived, they found partially submerged All-Terrain vehicle with its lights.
Three ATV passengers have been able to save small injuries, police said.
When searching for ATV holders, the police got a second vehicle, a completely submerged Volkswagen sedan, which was the subject of the original call.
One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of hypothermia under a drowning vehicle.
It was believed that the passenger died in the vehicle.
The police are still investigating.
