Unemployment is rising unemployment. The Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) estimates that unemployment would reach 6.9 per cent in October 2018. In October last year it was 6.75. In October 2017, 397 million workers have declined in the number of people employed. In October of 2017, it was 2.4 percent lower compared to 407 million people.
