MANILA, Philippines – Miss Universe 2018 visited Camp Aguinaldo, the headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), on the gray Saturday of Catrio.
AFP chief, Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr., who welcomed the 25-year-old beauty queen, presented him with a command plaque, which has the praise and recognition of Gray's chief of staff and chief of staff.
In addition, Gray was introduced to "Capa del Sur", which was a traditional cap worn by the Yakan tribe in Mindanao.
Madrigal noted that Gray's participation in human activities demonstrates how a woman can bring about positive change.
"I hope all these young people believe that they are motivated to succeed and to have the ability to contribute to nation building."
Commenting on his courtesy call, Gray said: "I am also very proud that this visit is reaching out to the AFP for participation in my advocacy and charity work."
"She is giving back to our country, especially to our children, which has given me the greatest fulfillment of this journey."
Gray won the Miss Universe crown in Thailand's Impact Arena in December 2018, the fourth largest in the country.
