Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Madrid on Tuesday and left the court with heavy punishment in his pocket. The former real assailant was sentenced to 23 months in prison and 19 million euros for tax evasion between 2011 and 2014.
His lawyers had negotiated a contract in advance with Spanish courts. The player will not be penalized after the bars, because the Spanish law is under sentence in less than 24 months and if he does not have a criminal record, the sentence is allowed to be released.
The player went to the Madrid court physically with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez. He was not favored to enter the back door, but many journalists present for the occasion did not speak from the hearing despite the request. The court accused the current Juventus striker of failing to pay 14.8 million euros between 2011 and 2014 to thank him for taxation investment.
Cristiano Ronaldo is not the first major footballer to consider this type of approval in Spain. In 2016, Lionel Messi was again sentenced to 21 months in prison for tax evasion.
But Cristiano Ronaldo did not end up with justice. He is still under investigation for the rape committed by Las Vegas police after charges of the charges brought by old victories.
