We recently reported that it is a company Qualcomm Germany succeeded in banning Apple's sales Smartphone Mobile Phone. At the end of last year, the German court pen banned sales of old iPhone smartphones due to a violation of Qualcomm's registered patent. This ban applies only to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 family smartphones, and Apple has stopped selling these phones to 4,300 stores in German phones. The new smartphone iPhone X, iPhone X Max and iPhone XR will still be available to German customers.
It seems that Qualcomm is more robust that Apple, with its old iPhone phones, violates its registered patents, because they have paid 1.34 billion euros in the form of deposits to apply for banning the sale in German courts. According to German law, the plaintiff has to pay deposit in such cases, otherwise the ban on the sale of products will not be affected. This fund is maintained later and can be used to pay compensation to the nominee, if the case is canceled for any reason, then the case is Apple.
Qualcomm's move is a little surprising, as the mobile phone giant sells only 10 million smartphones annually in Germany, and more than half of this is a model. In addition, the smartphone iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 will still be available from German mobile service providers and other retailers. It is probably that Qualcomm in Germany proves Apple's crime and then there is similar claims in other countries of the European Union.
