ROC called for the signing of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on the agreement between Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Ukraine and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which is "a political step outside the canonical field".

This was stated by the MP, Volokolamsk Metropolitan Hilarion's Foreign Affairs Units, reports TASS.

"The last steps and decisions of Bartholomew Patriarch, including the signature of today's agreement, are outside the canonical field, but only on the political plane. When the overseas order is aimed at weakening and fragmenting a single Russian church, Patriarch Bartholomew seeks to fulfill this order the political situation has changed and the current president has power in Ukraine, "- he said.

In his view, the patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew was opposed to the orthodox of the canonical world and "can not claim to become an ecumenical coordinator of other Orthodox churches."

"If the Constantinople Patriarchate had previously served as a co-ordination center with the consent of local churches, now such a center no longer exists: the Patriarchate of Constantinople voluntarily dissolved itself," said the metropolitan.

Today, Petro Poroshenko and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, in Istanbul, signed an agreement on cooperation and cooperation between the Kiev and the Patriarchate of Constantinople on the establishment of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church, a further step towards acquiring Tomos.

Earlier it was reported that the Kiev Patriarchate calls upon the Verkhovna Rada to request the adoption of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church law and the change of the name of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine. This was announced by the head of UOC-KP Filaret.

Let us recall that on October 11 the synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate continued to work on the suicide of the Ukrainian Church. He also removed the Anatomy of Patriarch Filaret and Metropolitan Macarius and in 1686 declared that the Kiev metropolitan vice president of the Russian Church.

On October 15, ROC Sinodus decided to completely cease contacts with the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

On October 19, the Russian Orthodox Church (ROCOR) synod announced that it had abolished the Eucharistic community with the Patriarchate of Constantinople after the Ukrainian act and called for repentance.

At the same time, Constantinople does not intend to abolish the community with the Russian Orthodox Church.
