The Kiev prosecutor's office and the SBU detained a criminal gang that was involved in the illegal seizure of the real estate. This was announced by Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko on Facebook.
"Today, after lengthy documentation, the prosecutor's office and the SBU in Kiev are jointly conducting special operations to detain a criminal group whose members planned to seize real estate in state, communal and private property, resulting in the loss of 1.5 billion UAHs. . "
Lutsenko notes that generally, according to the results of the special operation, seven people – three organizers and four performers – were detained according to the art. 208 Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code. The detainees have two lawyers and a former head of the Kiev justice system.
He emphasized that the seized documents would further investigate the role of judges in making "decisions necessary for the raiders."
